Plan your stay at The Fold

We’ll email you a full information pack before you arrive. Here are the important bits, so you can pack the right things and find us first time. We’re not often on site, so if anything’s unclear, email us before you set off.

Finding us

The easiest way to find our car park is what3words:

///initiates.wishing.rivers

Our postcode is HR2 0RE, but satnavs tend to send you to the neighbouring farm. Coming from Vowchurch, don’t take the right turn up to Cothill Farm. Keep going round the corner and you’ll see our sign on the left: a tarmac drive with reflective bollards.

Already provided: bed linen, tea, coffee, sugar, eco hand soap and your first firewood.

    Living off-grid

Each cabin makes its own power from the sun and draws fresh spring water. A few small habits keep everything running.

    Solar power

Runs the lights, hot water and USB charging. It can be limited in winter, so switch lights off when you go out and unplug chargers once you’re charged. A monitor shows how much power you have.

    Spring water

Spring-fed and UV filtered. Run the tap for about 30 seconds first. If the solar runs out, boil water before drinking; there’s a bottle in the fridge too.

    Compost loos

Every cabin has a modern compost loo.

    Wifi and signal

There’s wifi in every cabin. Phone signal depends on your provider, so check coverage first if it matters. Traffic noise can be heard at times.

    Bringing your dog

    • The A Frame1 dog
    • The Treehouse1 dog
    • The Nova DomeUp to 2 dogs
    • The Scandi CabinPet-free

£20 per dog per stay; please add your dog when you book. Keep dogs off soft furnishings, as damage (including muddy bedding) is charged for. There may be sheep in the fields around you, so keep an eye on your dog at all times. Each dog-friendly cabin has somewhere to wash muddy paws.
